GetSpirits Distillery

Background

GetSpirits is a local distillery based in Roskilde, owned by a couple who’s sold their soul for their company. GetSpirits has a very tiny budget and was at the time in a scaringly fragile state.

They have some unique and remarkable values which drastically contrasts their competitors. Unfortunately, nobody is aware of that, because they fail to highlight these values to the public, which is a massive disadvantage considering their current situation.

On top of this, GetSpirits is on a very tight budget, which has resulted in the use of cheap materials for their premium and rather expensive product

That being said, GetSpirits has so much potential it’d be a waste to *not* do something to help their situration.

PR & Strategy

My assignment

Rebrand GetSpirits to something visually appealing that reflects on their values. On top of that, make a Marketing Plan for them going forward.

My solution

After extensive work of analyzing, researching, and coming up with solutions to a majority of GetSpirit’s problems and bad practices, with thorough risk analysis taken into consideration.

These issues, including a formal “how to approach this” guide was outlined in a detailed Marketing Plan aimed to make GetSpirits’ marketing efforts vastly more effective and less costly.

The way forward

Organic marketing

GetSpirits should recognize and make use of their loyal customer base to spread core messages and awareness.

Follow trends

Facebook's algorithm boosts content based off of user interaction, as seen in most trends. Make use of it! “Tag your friends” is a good place to start.

Empower people

Make people *want* to interact with your page! Example: “Share your bottlekil for a 15% discount”, or engage former 'rum school students' with events or exclusive deals.

No giveaways!

GetSpirits should face out giveaways immediately, as it's an ambitious and vastly expensive practice with little in return when it comes to potential sales.

Paid marketing

GetSpirits should keep paying for Facebook adverts. These are the most economically viable ads, however instead of selling their products, they should “sell” their brand's values to be in-line with Facebook's user base.
